Stunning Scanning Electron Microscope Images
I have loved microscopes ever since my Dad bought me my first one when I was about 8. It wasn't quite in the same league as the ones used to produce these amazing images for the 2011 FEI Owner Image Contest. & the winners were: First prize went to image 3: not a canyon but a microcrack in metal after bending test, coloured by Manuel Paller. My favourite is image 13: forepart of a mite, looking like an alien spacecraft, coloured by Margit Wallner won Third prize
