The Most Dangerous Animals In The Desert

Visit the southwestern deserts of America and you would expect to have to guard against mountain lions or even bears. However neither of these creatures have ever been reported threatening humans. It's the little critters you have to watch out for though. Wasps and spiders like the brown recluse or violin spider and the infamous black widow, and rattlesnakes. But the animal that kills hundreds of people each year in the US, more than attacks by all other wildlife species combined, is the honey bee.

Don't know whether to feel safer or less so after these stats.

At least you can see the big critters coming!

That's true - sort of a "flying is the safest form of transport stat", true but a major incident with a plane or big bugger and you've had it ;o)
